Nercy Barona
Senior Accountant
Vancouver, BC
I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce with a Major in Accounting while living in the Philippines, where I also received my Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation. While I was working in the Philippines in a government bank, I decided to migrate to Canada in 1990 with my family.
As a Senior Accountant at CGIS, I assess the credit worthiness of customers, minimizing the risk exposure and ensuring positive cash flow. My role also includes payroll and month end processing. These responsibilities allow me to provide professional services to both internal and external customer to the best of my ability. At CGIS I feel as though I belong to a family; we have a very positive environment which encourages me to be successful.
In my free time, I am very active in my local community. I also donate my time to improving the lives of those living in developing countries; raising funds that will go towards providing shelter, child education, humanitarian relief and faith formation.
Pascal Hatzipalousis
Business Development Lead
Adelaide, SA
I have a Metallurgical Engineering background, and worked as a process engineer at a steelworks for ten years. After that, I took a “sea change”, moved to the big smoke and started selling valves and have been doing it ever since! I have been married for 11 wonderful years and have two children, Alexandra who is six and Theodore who is four.
I am the Business Development Leader for CGIS Australia. My role is mostly sales based with business development function for Severe Service Valves (SSVs). This profession has allowed me to tick a number of life’s goals – to travel, meet new people, and to love my work!
CGIS is an exciting and dynamic business that is defining the SSV message globally – being part of something new and revolutionary is extremely satisfying!
I love to play soccer, listen to music, and go on outdoor adventures with my children. I also like muscle cars but I don’t have time for them anymore!
Sam Wind
Marketing Lead
Vancouver, BC
After graduating with a Master of Management degree from the Sauder School of Business, I spent five years crafting my marketing prowess in the Vancouver tech industry. Then, my career shifted to CGIS where I now continue to fine tune our message and further spread the word on the importance of Severe Service Valves in an industrial setting.
I currently work remotely from Vancouver Island where I’m lucky enough to get to spend as much time as I can with my wife, son, and daughter while exploring my passions for snowboarding, surfing and hiking.
